Black soldier fly knowledge, translated for everyday keepers
David Tavernor is the son of a dairy farmer and discovered Calci Worms while on holiday in Mexico. He has worked in black soldier fly production in Shropshire since 2022. The Happy Hen Co. makes Calci Worms a clean and simple way for backyard keepers to buy, portion and enjoy a genuinely exciting treat for their flock.
We separate what research shows from what remains uncertain. Our Live Calci Worm guidance treats larvae as a complementary treat, not a replacement for balanced layers feed, and our evidence page links readers to the underlying studies.
